Artist Bio
Samantha Jacobson was born outside of Philadelphia into a family of creatives and entrepreneurs. She is a self taught visual artist and muralist who has been practicing for over 25 years. To this day, she hasn’t quite decided which creative avenue she enjoys most which makes for a studio full of varied mediums and tchotchkes. Her current focuses are murals and mixed media studio painting, where she is intentionally shifting her practice to primarily use upcycled canvases, frames, textiles and other substrates. Samantha has lived across the United States including New York City, Santa Fe, and Austin and has travelled the globe extensively. She is greatly inspired by nature, folklore, creative anthropology, street fashion, and the passion of her fellow creatives. When she’s not making something she’s either gardening, exploring, playing with her dog Milo, or enjoying a meal with friends and family.
